I feel exactly the same re September-October being the real "new year" and like to start new projects at this time. Your new volunteering venture sounds like a lot of fun Jane and I wish you all the best with it... I may even venture to York one of these days, who knows? Love for now, Jill
Volunteering there definitely seems meant Jane. We all need our fix of medieval every so often. The Morris exhibition looks fascinating. I keep hoping to uncover Victorian wallpaper when I redecorate but alas no just 1970s garish variety which is really well stuck on!
Well yes woodchip but under that is 70s yellow flowers in the bathroom and on the stairs is bluegreen circles within squares which I am going to have to be careful taking off because under that is lead-based blue paint The joys of old houses!

Ooh that would be good!
Thank you for reminding me of how special Barley Hall is. I shall take my young grandchildren to visit very soon. AA
Perhaps I'll see you there Angela?

Yikes!
Would have loved to have seen you in period dress! Surely you could start a trend?
There are some who might say they'd barely notice the difference from how I often dress anyway....
