Thank you Keith, that's really kind. I have since learnt that this chap had Very Strong Opinions about the work of several of my fellow exhibitors, and even, amazingly that another reduction printmaker has had an almost identical conversation with a man at a completely different fair. Either there are two of them out there or he travels the country arguing with printmakers.

Your ‘gentleman’ sounds like an utter delight. Did he have the same strong opinions with male printmakers, I wonder?
Hmm that's a good point, but hard to quantify as the exhibitors were mostly women (no idea why).
