Wow! (I also have a house built with cardboard and optimism and am in awe, I cannot begin to imagine what sorcery has been deployed.)

Amazing devices that go into hollow walls and then two wings open out and tighten to hold them in place. I had no idea such things even existed.

I think they’re what my brother used to put some shelves up on an internal wall for me but had forgotten because it was such an ordeal getting them up as the brackets were rubbish.

Perhaps, like all those mini diggers buried under ridiculously large basements in London, there are grip-its hidden under polyfilla in new builds all around the country?
