See a linoprint emerge
Several weeks' work compressed to 40 seconds
Hello
Just a very quick update to interrupt your holiday weekend (if you’re in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, or your perfectly ordinary weekend if you’re elsewhere). Here is a 40 second video, with some slightly Disneyish twinkly music, showing the eleven layers of my latest reduction linoprint developing.
The prints are now nearly dry and once I’ve chosen the ones good enough to go in the edition and trimmed, signed and dated them, they will go in my shop. Subscribers to Dapple Scrumping will get an email with a link to a secret part of my shop so they get priority access for 24 hours.
The print, which depicts New Walk, a footpath running along the side of the River Ouse in York, was created as part of a Rivers project celebrating the 10th anniversary of York Printmakers. It will make its first outing in real life at the York Printmakers Autumn Print Fair next month.
20th and 21st September
10am-5pm
York Cemetery Chapel and Harriet Room, Cemetery Road, York, YO10 5AJ
Free admission
Now get back to your BBQs and outings (if you’re in the UK but not Scotland) and I’ll see you again soon.
Jane
